WASH AND CARE

Washing and caring for your Snapbac gear is easy. Turn gear inside out and machine wash in cold water using a gentle detergent, preferably with like fabrics (i.e. other synthetics) on the delicate cycle. Lay flat or hang to air dry.

DO NOT machine wash the Therapy Pod. To clean the pod, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth.

DO NOT use fabric softener. Fabric softeners create a residue which clogs the fabric and use a dryer sheet or fabric softener, your gear will be fine, simply rewash the garment with a gentle detergent.

HOW TO USE SNAPBAC

You can easily heat the reusable Therapy Pod in the microwave or cool it in the freezer (specific instructions can be found on the back of each Therapy Pod).

Slide the Therapy Pod into any one of the zippered entry points on our performance garments, between the compression base layer and the mesh outer layer, with the MicroGrip face up. Position the Therapy Pod within the garment directly over the muscle, the point of pain or the swollen area for targeted relief. The MicroGrips that line the Therapy Pod will fuse with the mesh to hold the Pod securely in place.

PLACEMENT OF THERAPY PODS

Open the zipper on the garment to access the targeted area for heat or cold therapy treatment. Slide the Therapy Pod between the compression base layer and the mesh outer layer, with the MicroGrip face up. Close zipper for secure positioning.

COOLING DOWN OR HEATING UP THERAPY PODS

For Cold Therapy: Place the Therapy Pod flat in the freezer for 2 hours before use. Remove and knead the Pod to evenly distribute temperature. Even frozen, the Therapy Pod will remain flexible. Do not use the Therapy Pod directly on skin straight from the freezer. Always insert it into your Snapbac gear. If the Therapy Pod is too cold and causes discomfort, wait a few minutes before application.

For Heat Therapy: Place a room temperature Therapy Pod flat in microwave (around 800W) and heat for 40 seconds. Let it stand for 30 seconds. If more heat is needed, heat in 10-second intervals. Discontinue heating if Therapy Pod starts to expand like a balloon. This means it’s overheated. Do not use the Therapy Pod directly on skin right after heating, always insert it into Snapbac gear. If the Therapy Pod is too hot and causes discomfort, wait a few minutes before application.

HOW LONG TO USE THERAPY PODS?

Although you can use multiple Therapy Pods at the same time to treat different areas, we recommend not using any Therapy Pods in one area for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Wait at least 10 minutes before beginning another cold or heat therapy session.

HOW DO I SHORTEN MY TIGHTS?

Snapbac tights can be shortened by turning up the cuff of the tight while on the body. Identify the appropriate number (1,2, 3 or 4) and corresponding dotted line. Remove Snapbac tights and cut along the appropriate line, beneath the bartack stitching. View the how to videos for step by step instructions.

RETURNS

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, return it in an unused, sellable condition for a refund. A free return shipping label is included in each package. Please mark the reason for return on the shipping label provided.

Returns are only accepted online for products purchased directly from snapbac.com. If you have purchased from a Snapbac retailer or online partner then they must also arrange your return.

If upon receipt of your product you are uncertain about your purchase, please keep your item in the original packaging until you have decided whether or not you wish to keep it.

All returns for refund should be both unwashed and unworn.

IMPERFECT GOODS

Snapbac is committed to product excellence and stands behind the quality of our garments. Given the complexity of the construction of our garments, from time-to-time manufacturing faults can and do occur. If you think your product has suffered a manufacturing fault, please contact us here. Items that are damaged as a result of excessive or long-term usage are not considered faulty. Returned items that have been worn should be laundered -- per washing instructions -- before return. Receipt of unwashed garments may result in your product being returned to sender.

Overnight and 2 Day Air shipping options are available at checkout for customers needing their products expedited. Rates are dependent upon region and order size.

All US orders ship directly from our warehouse in Hazelwood, Missouri. Returns are also processed here and a free return shipping label is included in each package.

THE IMPORTANCE OF COLD THERAPY

After a workout, your body needs to "repair" itself to prepare for the next training session. Icing or cold therapy helps constrict blood vessels and flush harmful metabolic debris, like lactic acid, from tissues. It also helps slow circulation, reducing swelling, inflammation, muscle spasms and eases pain. Cold therapy is also beneficial immediately after a muscle injury, strain or bruising to speed recovery. However, do not use cold therapy before exercise.

After an acute injury, the body releases chemicals including kinin, prostaglandin and histamine into the blood which travel towards the injury and cause inflammation. As a vasoconstrictor, cold therapy causes the blood vessels to constrict helping reduce the flow of these chemicals and can reduce swelling.

WHEN TO USE COLD THERAPY
  • Cold therapy is good for acute pain, sprains, strains, bumps, bruises and overuse injuries that may occur in sports or lifting.

  • The faster you apply cold therapy following intense exertion or injury, the better. Swelling starts as soon as you stop, so slip a cold Therapy Pod at the moment you finish for best results.

  • No need to stay seated while recovering. Therapy Pods stay in place thanks to dozens of MicroGrips that fuse with the tactical mesh, so you can stretch, cool down or head home while still in recovery mode.

  • Leave Therapy Pod in place from 5 to 20 minutes.

  • You can continue to intermittently use cold treatment for 24 to 48 hours after an injury.

  • Apply cold Therapy Pod to injured areas for no more than 20 minutes at a time, removing the Therapy Pod for 10 minutes before reapplying it again.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HEAT THERAPY

Heat therapy can be used multiple ways. For injuries older than 2 days or chronic pain, tension in the muscles and soft tissue (especially around the lower spine) restricts proper circulation and sends pain signals to the brain. Heat opens up blood vessels, increasing blood flow and supplying oxygen and nutrients to reduce pain in joints and relax sore muscles, ligaments and tendons. The warmth also decreases muscle spasms and can increase range of motion.

After intense physical activity, overworked muscles can become sore because of a build up of lactic acid. After using cold therapy to reduce swelling and inflammation, heat therapy can be used to increase blood flow and promote the flushing of lactic acid from muscles.

Warming up prior to physical activity reduces the risk of injury and prepares the body to quickly and efficiently respond to nerve signals. Snapbac can accelerate this process by providing heat therapy to muscles, increasing blood flow so you don’t need to expend as much physical energy, reserving it for training or game time. Also, applying superficial heat to your body can improve the flexibility of tendons and ligaments.

WHEN TO USE HEAT THERAPY
  • To loosen muscles prior to a workout to increase mobility and increase joint elasticity.

  • To help with stiff joints, chronic muscle and joint pain or an ongoing injury.

  • 48 hours after an acute injury to promote healing.

  • Heat should be warm, not too hot.

  • Application should not exceed 20 minutes at a time.

  • It’s important NOT to use heat therapy immediately following exercise. Heat increases blood flow, which may enhance inflammation, not reduce it. However, wait for a period of time, and after any swelling has had a chance to go down, heat therapy can increase circulation and promote healthy muscle recovery and relaxation.
